TOM WHARTON

Thomas Wharton Jr. was born of a prominent family in Chester County, Pennsylvania in 1735 and died in Lancaster, Pa on May 23 1778. He was a Pennsylvania statesman and politician of the Revolutionary War era. He served the governor of Pennsylvania following the Declaration of Independence.
